Tasting Notes:
Deep garnet in colour with cardinal-crimson rim, the rich and aromatic nose offers such juicy and fleshy fruits as cassis, prune and dried cherry, intertwined with oaky vanilla and hints of smoke, especially pronounced in the beginning. The potent nose is matched by an equally powerful palate, consisting of plum and eucalyptus, soon overtaken by richer flavours including coffee, black pepper, smoky toast and hints of gaminess. Supported by rich tannin and generous acidity, this full-bodied wine has yet to evolve from austerity, but already delivers a long, profound finish. Patience will be rewarded.
