Tasting notes:
Deep garnet in colour with rosy purple rim, the nose is lifted and alluringly fragrant, comprising red cherry, redcurrant, oaky vanilla, sous bois, and hint of eucalyptus, topped by notes of rose petal. On the palate, raspberry, cranberry, and strawberry appear wave after wave, with hint of cinnamon and smoke. Remarkably powerful for a medium-bodied wine, delicate fruit flavours are laden on fine-grained tannin, vibrant acidity, and mineral nuances, leading to a lean, persistent, and stylish finish. Gamza is as quintessential to Bulgaria as Touriga Nacional to Portugal – a must try.
